I was just a normal guy,who worked a 9 to 5,
I had a house, a car and two babies I adored.
I was respected and admired, until the day that I got fired,
And I could not feed my family no more.
So I did a crime or two, just to buy a little food,
To keep the heating on and keep my babies warm in bed.
Im just a prison number now, the screws don't know my name or how,
I came to hearing all these voices in my head.

They call me a Criminal and they, lock me away from you all
Like i'm dangerous and unsuitable for this world.
But I aint never held a gun, the only crime I ever done -
Was try to provide for me, my ladies and my girl.

Now I've worked hard throughout my life, to support my kids and wife,
To make them proud and be the best that I can be.
Now i've no contact and no phone, and every night I sit alone,
In this room with just a bed and a TV.
So for stealing a few quid - I lost my house my wife my kids,
There is no more that you can do to punish me.

They call me a Criminal and they, lock me away from you all
Like i'm dangerous and unsuitable for this world.
But I aint never held a gun, the only crime I ever done -
Was try to provide for me, my ladies and my girl.

So you can take my life away - Coz its more pointless everyday,

My lady doesn't talk to me, my babies wouldn't recognise me,
even though everything I did was all for them.
